APPLICATIONSThe MCE 85 can be mounted to film cameras, DSLR cameras or digitalcamcorders for high-quality recordings in outdoor applications or intheatres and studios with fishpole boom or as handhelds.Due to the polar pattern signals from the side or back are eliminated.A switchable bass roll-off filter eliminates unwanted low frequenciesat a cut-off frequency of 120 Hz (MCE 85 BA) or 160 Hz (MCE 85 PV).An integrated footfall sound insulation avoids the transmission ofnoise below 40 Hz. To avoid wind noise when used outdoors, awindshield must be used.The MCE 85 PV/BA can be powered by any phantom power sourcesupplying 11 to 52 V. If no phantom power is available, we recommendusing the MCE 85 BA version, which can also be powered by an1.5 V battery.The MCE 85 BA is fitted with a switch to activate the batterypoweredoperation and a battery status LED. The typical life of abattery is around 160 hours.For different applications there are diverse optional accessoriesavailable.
